Amen. Wish other companies thought that way instead of "release it now and we'll issue patches later."
It's software...I would pretty much bet that there will be patches!
I agree, that is the nature of the beast. But there is a big difference between 'get enough done to ship by date" and developing a strong program with adequate testing
prior to release.
I don't know if Cakewalk does this, but some companies will put out a limited release to various 'super users' as a test version, to expand the testing of the software besides what is done in house. This allows 'real' users to try things that those doing the testing in house would never do. This is another good way of getting rid of additional bugs before you have a full release, and thus your product is that much stronger.
In the end, its all a matter mind set
