Anyone working with one of these controllers and willing to walk me through the programming? I've tried setting it up through the parameter change on the Conrtol surface edit page, but I can't get the strip level to go past Channel 1.

Hi,

You are best of using the BCF in so called 'Mackie control emulation mode' you need to download the latest firmware for the BCF here and load that into your BCF using this utility.

The pdf files that come with the firmware/update utility will explain how to get your BCF in Mackie emu mode.

Hope that helps, arno

When you have your bcf updated to firmware 1.07 (you can verify by turning the bcf on and off, the lcd display wil show what firmware version it's running) . turn the bcf off and now turn it back on while pressing the fourth pushbutton from the left just under the rotary switches on top of the device, the bcf is now in sonar mackie emu mode.

Now the only thing you have to do is set up the control surface in sonar, just open up sonar and in the options menu select control surcafes, a menu pops up in wich you can add a new surface, add one select mackie control and for MIDI in/out choose the BCF, if the bcf doesn't show up in the drop down maybe it will say usb audio device then choose that one.

close the dialog and you should now be in control !!

Hey Arno!

Have you found a way of modding the Mackie mode in the BCF at all? I'd like to change some of those settings (like one button for HOME for example) and it's a tuff nut to crack.. so far.

Cheers!

Does this control surface work without bugs?

Thanks.

I have a BCF2000 that I've used for at least 5 years.  I set it up from instructions that one of the forum users developed (I don't remember who).  But to be truthful the motorized faders are the main thing.  They impress clients.

Thanks a lot Firebed!
But is it really worth to have it for mixing? Do you use it and did you encounter problems with it?

Thanks
