I did hit cancel - as far as I could see it wiped out Melodyne Editor anyway
No option to custom install
I've written them about this kind if thing more than once
How tough can it be to write a loop into the program - check for it - if it's there - at least give us an option to not kill it
Guitar rig, true pianos and now Melodyne
Bakers, I love you dearly, but please get it together for install routines

I was surprised anything Melodyne was in X3D at all, does it not auto update itself anyway?

I have to say, considering what happened here I'm a little perplexed as to why the user is expected to know what the correct option is to choose. Cakewalk have closed this issue.

CWBRN-22533 - As intended.

Hello,
If you already have Melodyne updated to its current version, cancelling its installation during the X3d update will not adversely affect its current installation. Celemony lists the current versions here:
http://www.celemony.com/cms/index.php?id=host_comp

If you need to update, you can always download directly from Celemony.

After reading these posts I still don't know what I am supposed to do to get my Melodyne serial #.

I am a new owner of Sonar X3e build244 (32 bit on a 64 bit machine) & with it came Melodyne. I have no idea how to go about activating it. Can anyone help please?

I apologize if I somehow missed the answer elsewhere in this or any other topic.

The serial number for Melodyne Essential should be in your product list https://www.cakewalk.com/My-Account/Products. If it is missing, contact customer support.

Reading this I just realized that I just had to re-install windows to fix a Blue screen issue,, OOps. I never de activated Melodyne..That will be the 3rd Time I had to email them and beg a new number.. I think that's enough of that , good bye Melodyne. I'm just not into software that makes you go through this many hoops. They should use an usb system  if they are that paranoid. I have the dongle already and it would be nice if all serial registration could be kept there.

I keep my serial numbers on a notepad stored in each software folder.
It is also backed up on dropbox via the screen shot feature. When every you have a web page with important info, like a purchase tracking number, hit crtl/prt scn and drop box takes a screen shot and saves it.

That only shows my Sonar X3 Serial & Registration, neither of which work in Melodyne.

I'll contact support like you say.

Thanks

All my installer folders have a serial.txt file in them if relevant.

Same here. I save emails as text files on the PC.  I also zip archive the software with a copy of the text file inside and they go on external drives. With everything being digital downloads I archive and backup like crazy.
I have 2 or 3 extra copies of the basic Melodyne and the first thing I do is register them on their site.
