Hallo everybody,
i hve a question about the PX64. The compressor of this plugin got no controls to change the attack and release time of it. So how it works? Are these values fix?

They're probably program dependent. ie they respond to haw that dynamics of the sound. Being that the plug in is designed for drums, they'd be optimised for drums.

that means that in dependence from the audio signal the attack and release times is calculated again and again?
I mean for one signal the attack is lets say 15 msec and for another it is 8 msec. 
Don't understand me wrong i only want to know how the PX64 works behind his case.
 
Wht i found is, that the compressor got no attack. So what i miss on the output is more punch. Is it a combination shaper and compressor to become more attack / more punch?
 
My english is very bad. Hope you understand what i wrote.

The Transient Shaper is also a processor that controls dynamics, but only the initial transient. So, think of the dynamics control for the PX64 as being separated into two parts: the Transient Shaper for the attack, and the Compressor for the overall signal.

Thomas - your English was just fine in your post above.
 
Some folks find that if they are having trouble expressing themselves in a non-native language, like you with English, that Google can help them say it properly - using Google's 'Translate' function.
 
If I wanted to translate something from English to Spanish, I could do so like this:
 
Go to a browser tab and go to Google, and type in: Translate English to Spanish and hit enter.  This will take you to Google's translate page for English to Spanish.
 
Now, just type in something in English, like: Hi - I am not a Spanish speaker, and would like everyone to know that I am a piano player, with a little guitar, and I sing.  I have been using Sonar for many many years now, and still have a lot to learn.  
 
Google will show the results in Spanish on the right side of the page.
 
For YOU, if Spanish is your native language, you would go to Google and type in: translate Spanish to English, then hit enter.  Then, you would type in what you wanted to translate in Spanish on the left side of the page, and Google would show it translated to English on the right side of the page.
 
So, here is what I got:
 
Traducir Inglés a Español Hi - No soy un hablante de español , y me gustaría que todos supieran que yo soy un pianista , con un poco de guitarra y canto . He estado usando Sonar durante muchos años, y todavía tengo mucho que aprender .
 
I hope that helps you for when you have trouble - but what you typed in your initial post was worded correctly.  :)

Or you can think of it as a compressor, with the option to set the ratio high enough to be a limiter.

But the PX64 is kind of a special case. You can think of the transient shaper as providing an ultra-sophisticated attack control as well as control over the signals's decay.
