The multi-displays, is that using one actual HDMI and the other a display port?  Don't those only mirror the image from the other HDMI port - so while it is two displays, it is actually 2 of the same image?

The type of port isn't the issue (I'm running display port on one of my systems for instance with an extrended desktop on a motherboard/GPU combination) when it comes to extending or mirroring the desktop. It's the adapters/GPU capability itself...
 
If in doubt check with supplier or manufacturer as often the specs supplied aren't detailed enough.
