I always use EZD2 to make my drum parts, and then take the midi and try out various AD2 kits. I often use a blend of the two.

Looks like an update for Addictive Keys and Addictive Drums. I'm not holding my breath with them anymore and may make the change to something else if there is no AD3 coming anytime soon. I like the stuff but they need to make some major updates.

What major changes do you think it needs? I love the Beat Transform section. but would like to swing and groove added.  And better handling of user rhythms.  But these seem quite minor really.

I know some don't like hw it handles overheads, instead of single mics in cymbals. but it seems part of it process, with both the overheads and rooms capturing the rooms they recorded in. I can't see how they could change this though, as they could have to revisit all those rooms. Personally, I just tk the other drum bleed out of the overheads to separate them.

Not really sure what has changed with these updates. Any info on what's new?

I use EZPlayer to AD quite a bit.  This gives me EZD MIDI with AD kits.  A nice way to extend the soundz!!

Do you use EZplayers midi straight out of EZplayer/from the midi track/dragged into AD2? Have you used AD2's Transform section on EZPlayer's midi?

I start out with the EZD MIDI in EZPlayer tracks, then drag them out to the AD track.  Works great.

I have not used AD2 transform on EZPlayer MIDI

I use a map in AD2 made for EZD2.

Have you made use of the dynamics tool (transfrom). You can drag the midi track into the Transform players title bar (It's a bit of a secret, even XLNs tech guy didn't now). Then alter just the velocities of the high hats, or the accents of the sixteenths.

I'm partly asking, because i'm interested in how AD2 handles EZ drum map when you do this. BUt also because it's a cool feature of AD2, that's not knwon abaout. The one video I recently saw, had the demonstrator drop into a midi folder, but you can just drag it straight into the player's title bar.

@Kamikaze: I've seen but not used the transform tool.  I'll try getting the EZD MIDI across and see if it works.

@Clint:  I've used that too.  Might've been you that pointed me to it.  Part of the reason I went with EZ Player is that I can go the other way too ... AD2 MIDI driving EZD kits.  And there is also the option of using multiple EZ Player "tracks" so you can mix/match source MIDI.

And there are many others ...

I probably own 75% of the AD2 kits, but I use Jamstix to drive them.
