Usually when I copy audio from a per concert project into a per song project, it actually creates the files in the Audio folder for the per song project.

Today, it referenced the files from the per concert project.
Preferences > Audio Files > Audio Data > Always copy Imported Audio Files is checked.

There must be another setting I changed that is impacting this. Not sure what it is.

Help?

Not sure what caused this, but you could do a Save As of the new project to a new folder and select copy files with project. This should make a new copy of files relevant to the cwp.

Complete project is enormous. That's why I cut and paste into little templates per song.

I went with it. The bounce showed up in the song audio folder. But it's nice to be able to make the individual songs portable.

Did you Bounce to Clip(s)? Bear in mind that a clip is a window (small) into the underlying audio file (huge) unless it is bounced (and will create an appropriate audio file). I am not clear on your work flow, but suspect you were referencing the concert file with each track. I think X3 will also bounce multiple tracks at once.

Yes... my work flow is...
1. add markers at each end of a song in a whole multi-track concert recording
2. select all and split clips at the two markers
3. Bounce to clips all clips between the markers
4. Right click select ctrl+c the clips
5. switch to new project and paste in audio
