• SONAR
  • X3e can't dock Console View in Multidock in older projects.

When opening older Sonar 8 or even X1 projects I am consistently unable to open and put Console View in the Multidock. CV opens in it's own window but will not "slip" into the MD. I can't even do it by right-clicking it, there's simply no dialog window when doing so. Is this a known bug? Is there a 3rd option I can try? Thanks!

3rd option: Save project in X3e and reopen. Right-clicking is restored but dragging window to MD turning it blue is not.

Could be your screenset is locked?

I would have to have had locked it for that to be the case. But since these Sonar 8 projects are being opened for the 1st time in X1, 2 & 3 there are no screensets to lock. It doesn't happen every time but when it does it's aggravating.

Click the control in the upper-left hand corner of the Console view.

Thanks scook, I new I was overlooking something. Of course the views are all behaving properly now so I'll keep this for the next time it happens.

btw, nice BIG arrow. Where'd you find it?

I think the old projects open the views as non-floating windows. It is possible to get the same behavior in X3 by undocking a view, clicking the control pointed to above and selecting "Disable Floating". Note, the floating and docking options will be greyed out if the view is maximized.
