The more I read the announcements and their website, I'm really under the impression that the Sonar code and plugins will be integrated within their flagship BandLab platform.

How about
1) BandLab Sonic or Sonik?  (SON from SONAR)
2) BandLab Spectrum or Spectral?  (SP for SONAR PLATINUM)

Ha! Native Instruments may scoop up that Sonik name if you're not careful! We all know how they love those Ks!

So for fun, what should Sonar's new name be?

Perhaps "BandLab Advanced Digital Audio Software Suite" - or something like that. Just a thought.

Name changes can kill a product.
I remember when Cool Edit became Adobe Audition. Who uses Audition? Anyone?

I have Audition installed on my machine. But if I'm not using SONAR for audio, I generally use Audacity for the simple stuff.
