I remember when Cool Edit became Adobe Audition. Who uses Audition? Anyone?

While I love the software, there really needs to be some serious thought to the name. Sonar Platinum sounds good, but SPLAT is not. Do a Google search for SONAR and you have to go halfway down the first page before you get to anything about music software (on the other hand, search for BandLab and the software compnay is the number 1 return). A search for Phoenix brings up a ton of sites for Arizona. My guess is it will be something unique so that it hits the top result for any web search.

I think ubiquitous names for instruments suck!  Hate the name East West gave "Play", do a Google search of the word Play!  Now, Kontakt, there is a cool word, unique.  Search for Kontakt takes you right to where you want to be.  Just think of cool word and give it a unique spellling!    Sonar=Zonar,  or not.
