Hello! I use guitar rig in Sonar X1 Studio in combination with several softsynths.
To midi-control the guitar rig-effects, you have to insert guitar rig as softsynth-plugin in a softsynth-track with the softsynth of your choice.
Then you have to create a midi track which controls guitar rig's effects.
Is this the own possibility to midi-control guitar rig?
Or is it possible to use Sonar X1 Studio to directly control guitar rig effects (for exemple assigning guitar rig effects to Sonar X1-controllers - Where can I find the midi-control-function in Sonar X1? Does it exist?)

Thanks! Step-by-step explanation would be great. I am neither an expert in English nor in Sonar X1... ;-)

Prior to X3, in order to use MIDI with any plug-in, the plug-in must have "Configure as synth" enabled. The requirement changed with X3. In addition to enabling MIDI I/O on the fly via the plug-in header there were significant fixes which make working with MIDI enabled plug-ins much more reliable. Even with the improvements made in X3, a MIDI track is still necessary to receive and route the MIDI data to the plug-in.

Could you please tell me, which improvements in midi-controlling exist between X1 and X3?
If you still need a midi-track, there are not that many advantages - or am I wrong?

In Sonar X1, do I have to midi-control the guitar rig controller themselves or is it possible to assign guitar rig controlls to a "Sonar X1-"controllboard" (Does anything like this exist?).
