Is there a way to convert MIDI from 12/8 to 4/4 in Sonar?
I have an orchestra score MIDI for the Dr Who theme that I'm playing with, it would be nice to be able to fiddle with it in 4/4.
Is there a sequence of edits or a workflow that can accomplish this?
 

The numbers are a little weird to compensate for SONAR's limited resolution on clip length and tempo changes but here's the drill:
 
1. Select all MIDI clips
2. Process > Length > 3333 percent
3. Process > Length > 2 percent
4. Change Tempo to 66.66 percent of what it was.

Cool, thanks. I'll give it a shot.

Just tried this, it got me about 98% there. After doing the length changes, I had to drag all the clips back so they started close to the right place and then quantize them. The first note started on 1:020 and by the end of the clip the notes were starting around 1:008. Close enough for rock n roll. Thanks!
