  • [Solved] Missing plugins after reinstall

I had to reinstall windows along with everything else last night. I had all of the projects backed up as I record and save to another drive instead of the system drive. Now every project can't find the plugin used. They were all reinstalled to the default locations just as they were before. So, everything was installed to the same drive, folders, etc...

Anyway to fix this?

Try re-scanning after first verifying that all your VST folder locations are in the scan list.

[Sorry, Craig, I see that's exactly what you suggested already.]

I did rescan as I added new stuff, but the same errors come up. I can open the FX and add the same ones already there Sonar is claiming can't be found and it works fine.

So the VST paths have somehow changed in the re-install. You may have to add more VST paths in Preferences - VST Settings, then rescan etc . . . These plugins that can't be found are probably not Sonar plugins, and may get installed somewhere else. If you can say which plugins they are, I'm sure someone here will have some input.

Did you reset as well as rescan?

Once again, thanks for the help. Apparently the rest and rescan did the trick. The only plugin not found now is one not installed. IKMultimedia put everything into Amplitube 3 it looks like. Not a big deal really, I'm not using that much anymore anyway.

Thanks again for the help.
