Slightly offtopic, but just so people know in case anyone was thinking of buying Catanya...
 
I had issues with Catanya, specifically the constant error popups whenever you mouse over Catanya. So I emailed 7aliens and asked if they were going to fix it, and if not whether I can get a refund since I was never able to use it successfully due to this issue (the demo didn't have this issue).
 
They gave me a refund. So my assumption is that there will be no more future development or bug fixes for it.

I'm a successful Catanya user. After wrestling with some initial issues I've had it working great for some time now - as advertised.

However, at least in my case, I've determined that it works 100 pct of the time if it's high up in the synth rack, as in any of the first five synths in the rack. However, if I add it at say position 10 in the synth rack it has issues.

I've repeated that experiment a bunch of times in different songs and that has held true.

So, I happen to load it as one of my first synths in my blank song file and keep it archived. I may not use it in a song, but I've preserved it's early spot in the rack in case I do.

When I do use it, I find it's a very nice tool for the arsenal.
