I believe they stopped supplying as often dolphins would get tangled up in the same nets.

I usually use an external tuner.

Well, I use a piano sometimes.  :-)

I might have posted this here before, but this free harmonizer/pitch-shifter is probably the most sensitive digital tuner I've come across http://aegeanmusic.com/pitchproof-Specs.

As it currently is I don't really use it, but that little sucker impressed me (and those who recommended it to me).  It's certainly not trying to reinvent the wheel yet, but I do have my eye on it.

You don't need a tuner. Just record the guitar, and use melodyne to fix the out of tune parts

My saxophone playing friend used to joke tuning is useless - if you can hear you're off, you can adjust with lip pressure. And if you can't hear you're off... :)

I found the tuner in the X2 thing but it looks like it only does electric (Line In).  Could that be modified to tune acoustic guitar (Mic In)?

IIRC, the tuner was just added as an FX to an audio track? Whether line-in or mic in it shouldn't matter, but the gain can effect the tuner response. Because of this I have defaulted to an external chromatic tuner as well. If recording with a mic, the simple clip on tuners may be something to consider as they do not require an electrical input.

I place the tuner in a track of its own, and the bottom of the track list, and switch the input as needed. Does not need an output.

This isn't free, but IMHO it's as good as it get in a software tuner.
