Hi,

I am experimenting a problem and I don't see how to fix it.

I have a new steinberg UR44 interface. And I was recording in 3 inputs with no problem but now when I stop the recording Sonar automatically moves my recording about half a bar up.

I have ASIO on my Driver Mode and have check the Use ASIO Reported Latency. Even if I un-check this I have the same problem.

Hope anybody out there can help!

Have fun!

Can you please explain what you mean by "moves my recording about half a bar up." Do you mean that if you record starting at measure 2, on playback the clip starts somewhere between measure 2 and 3?

As a diagnostic, try recording with loop turned off and metronome countdown turned off. Does it still do the same thing?

Hi Thanks for your reply!

Ok, let me try to explain a little bit better:

I start recording with one bar count in. After it begin I wait for another bar to start playing and after I hit space bar to stop recording I can see Sonar moving the recording half a bar inside the clip, so the beginning of the wave form moves half a bar inside the clip.
This is I hit record wait for the count in at 1.1 then I wait another bar and star playing at 2.1 after I finish recording and hit space bar to stop it Sonar moves the recording and put the wave form at 2.3. The clip stays the same length but it moves the wave form inside the clip half a bar, so the end of the recording is lost half a bar. I know there is a way to move the wave form inside the clip. I guess Sonar is doing this automatically since I know there is a way to move the wave form inside the clip.

I am recording it in ASIO and have check the Use ASIO Reported Latency

Hope this help, thanks!

Hi Anderton,

If I deactivate the count-in it correct the problem. Thanks a Lot! I was going around and around looking at the preference.

Other weird thing is if I set the clock from Audio to Internal it does the opposite it moves from 2.1 to 1.2 also with the count in.

I guess the problem is the count in.

Is there a way I can fix this? Since I like the count in.

Thanks a Lot!
