Thanks Bent, I do like the fact that the cakewalk option is a Midi plug, rather than a VST. I use, and am in love with the MidiChords plug in from the same guy, but wish I didn't need to create a track and play with routing to use it.

 
I'll have a look at it though, as it says in the description it can translate the chards back to Midi Chords.
 
I'm looking to create natural felling chords using the midiChords, then play with the resluts to create something harmonically more interesting. Being able to take those results back to midiChords does create some appeal though.

It's no big deal really... I insert it in a folder then use the track manager to hide it from view. It just sits in the MultiDock. Routing wise I just set MIDI input to OMNI and SYNTH output to none.
 
The big plus for me is the font size, I can read the chord text easy. With Cakes MIDI Plug font being so small I need to book the “Hubble Space Telescope “ to use it, this was not cost effective and it took up too much room in my studio.
 
And yes! “MidiChords plug“ is a good tool and lots of fun once you get your head around it
