Hi Kenny!
I found your post because I was trying to find a solution to the same error.  I'm using Reaper as my DAW, not Cakewalk, but the error code was exactly the same.  I submitted a ticket to XLN customer support and they finally got back to me.  Here's what they had me do:

"Thanks for getting in touch again. I think I may have a solution for you. Please run a search on your computer for the following

Addictive Keys.dll

Then select to delete all files you find with this name. Then please download and run the latest Online Installer you can get this from us from here:

When you run the Online Installer it will say it needs to repair or update your Addictive Keys please allow it to do so.

Then in the Online Installer hit the [Advanced] button. That page will tell you where the 32-bit and 64-bit Addictive Drums plug-in DLLs are installed. If you're running your host in 32-bit mode, then you want to use the 32-bit plug-in file and vice versa.

The next step is to check the preferences in your host. The option is usually named "Paths", "VST paths" or "Plug-in paths". In those preferences, add the path to the correct plug-in and then hit the Rescan button. This should make sure that Addictive Keys is being seen correctly in Reaper.

Try this and hopefully this will set things right for you."

I just finished the process and everything works fine now.  Might be worth a shot!

Take care and happy Thanksgiving!

Wow, that is something you do not see every day. What a wonderfully nice gesture to create an account to make that post!

Hello Erik ,
Thank You very much for posting this information . You helped me get it together enough to be able to sort things out ..
I noticed you joined the forum to do that …WOW Thank You ….hope you decide to stick around .

First off I had a very good Thanksgiving and I hope you did ….
It took a while for me to get back here since you posted …
i wanted to make sure that I could come back with the problem solved and thank you proper ….

A few hours ago I started on my I Mac …to fix Addictive Keys on that was super easy …
I found the VST and audio component for Addictive Keys and deleted them ….
my XLN installer re downloaded those missing files and repaired A…Keys ….

BTW , I would not of deleted those w out your suggestion

My Windows computer was more of a pain in the *$$ ….
I knew for a fact that my installer was fine / current and I was very hesitant to uninstall it ….so i did little baby steps at first .
I located the DLL's , both the X64 and X 86 and deleted them …then I ran my XNL installer and it re downloaded the DLL's ….it kept coming up as everything is fine , yet I was still having the same problems I was having …

Now it's not like I'm not willing to follow directions …I knew something was up that was a little bit different …
after doing this twice I set a system restore point and I was willing to uninstall the XNL utility and re download it…
I had noticed that the DLL's were current in my trash bin  ( the correct version number and date )
So on a hunch I did a little search ….
The whole key to solving the problems in my case was the suggestion you gave me regarding the advanced preferences in The XNL app….
Apparently under the 32 bit XLN path preference , my path led to a folder that was a VST folder , but it was not the correct folder where my new Addictive Keys DLL' was  ….
sure enough I located the DLL and it was a DLL from a year aqo …how it got there …i don't know …
once I deleted that older DLL from the original instal and re pointed the installer to find the newer DLL in the x 86 Cakewalk Vstplugins folder
Everything is back to working the way it is supposed to be ….

thank you so much for helping me out , I couldn't have done it with out the solutions you provided .
