  • [Solved] How to redraw Sonar wave graphics

Last night I had a power outage and cakewalk was open with my current project. Today when I went to open my song the beginning part of my lap steel tracks were flat lined. Not the entire tracks, just about 19 measures...

Odd, however I have noticed this happens from time to time, especially when working with old projects in a new version of Cakewalk.

So tracks just sit there and do not draw their graphical wave representation.

My question is, what is the best way to get Sonar to redraw these waves without having to re-sample the track by using bounce to clips or something like that?

Thanks in advance

Right click on the wave form, click on "Associated Audio FIles", click on "Recompute Picture(s)"

Excellent reply, I am constantly amazed by the gargantuan effort that has gone into the making of Cakewalk Sonar!!! Many thanks for your timely response Gustabo!

In My time we used to empty the picture cache folder.

That affects all projects and I don't have the patience for all wave files to redraw when I load a project.

...wicked
I've found SONAR's waveform creation quite fast on the few times I've had to dump the cache. But, I'm glad to know you can force it on individual clips now too.

Gustabo the picture cache folder is always good to empty it from time to time because there you`ll have files as old as the first day you install sonar for nothing because those projects would be all saved in other hardisks or media.
Peace
