• SONAR
  • Major ProChannel EQ mystery reset!

This is a weird one. Last night I was mixing a track and for giggles I was running through a Focusrite VRM Box (a monitor speaker simulator for headphones) that I got for free when I bought my Saffire Pro 14.
Anywho, I played around with the EQ on a lot of channels in an attempt to get a balance between bright/dull as indicated by the different speaker emulations the VRM Box does. Saved the project and went to bed.
Today I opened the track and all of the active ProChannels have a flat EQ and if a Console Emulator is part of the chain it has reset to the default setting. The only exception is the ProChannel on the Master Buss which made it through the night unscathed.
I'm a teeny bit freaked as I have no idea what happened and slightly bummed as I have lost a lot of work.
Sonar has been as good as gold on this project (there's 61 channels and a few busses so it isn't small) apart from this "fault" and a couple of days ago I cut a WAV in half and Sonar crashed when I pressed delete on the part I wanted to remove.

Any thoughts or information on something I might have done to reset all of my EQs?

Just checking but do you have the latest e update? It addressed some kind of prochannel eq problems. Just noticed, you're supposed to then try a VST Reset. I hope this is the answer because I didn't find anything else that would solve this problem.

It's in my signature (yes I am on "e") but I guess you can't see that if you are on a mobile or something!

Yes, I am using mobile. Did you do the VST Reset afterwards, I read that it might help.

I haven't done that but as the horse has bolted it won't bring it back!
Are you suggesting that a VST reset will make the project safe so it doesn't happen again? (Excuse my ignorance as I don't know anything about doing a VST reset.)

I am afraid that the reset thing will not bring anything back, but it might help this from happening again. I haven't found anything that would bring the eq settings like they were. Here is a thread about the same issue:

I forgot that you are recommended to do rescan also, but there is it mentioned and guided through every step on the link I posted earlier.
