Hi Keebo,

Funny you should mention this... As I was experimenting adding AJs surface to Sonar I did have a hickup with something like this. Again I am only using XP Pro 32 bit. I though I had everything working and was playing around with the surfaces and then had a problem where the BCR was not working and then saw that the bcr2000control was not assigned. So, I tried to reassign it and when I clicked OK, the dialog refreshed, but the bcr2000control was still blank (even though I assigned to the BCR2000 ports).

I tried a few more times and bit the bullet and went radical and reimaged my machine with an image I took just before I started playing around. Then reinstall AJs surface and everything was working again. That was over the weekend, so I am not sure if it was a glitch, or a button combination I hit, or something else. I'm going to keep playing around to see it it shows up again (I am working a project and backing things up as I go) hopefully it was just a glitch.

If that sounds like your problem, you might want to try to reimage - not a great solution, and a bit tedious, but it got me back alot quicker than trying to troubleshoot (about 20 minutes start to finish).

Thank you for your help guys, I really appreciate it.

gibsongs, I must have missed the bit (sorry FBB :-) ) about you being on XP 32 bit.  I was lucky enough to have it working on my old XP system too.

I am emarrassed to say that even though I believe in backing up I still have not bought an imager for such purposes.  So I will have to figure it out the hard way it seems.

Thanks.

Adrian,

I just looked again in the bcr2000-1.2-64bit folder and see that the bcr2000control.dll file was not included in the zip file.

Thank you for your time and effort.

now's OK I hope :)

Previously I did little "add and change" into ZIP file, so maybe it's a reason.

In the link above you have 2 versions.

OK, I see the file in the new upload.  I'll try it momentarily.

Thank you Adrian.

Well, I guess I'm doing something wrong or my PC just will not cooperate.

I deleted all of the older bcr2000control.dll files on my PC (I had few of them scattered about as well as backups).  I installed the new 64 bit plugin and opened X1 only to find an endless loop error message causing a complete Sonar crash resulting in a reboot since Sonar will not end properly in the Windows Task Manager.  Here is the message:

"Unable to invoke console.  Re-register it by double-clicking on the prjBCR2000Console.exe file and then try again."

I forgot I had to register that file as well so I registered it and the same thing happens each time.

Looking through the release notes I see I may need to unregister both files an try again through the command line.

If this doesn't work I'll try to customize ACT again.  Perhaps I can get it to remember settings this time.

Just a heads up.

I was unable to unregister per the instructions so I had to *gasp* delete all instances of prjbcr2000console in the registry.  It took several attempts but I can finally open X1 now without the endless loop crash.

Anyone wanting to install this on their 64 bit machine be forewarned.

So, Keebo, did you ever get it to work ?  I tried and received the same message that you got.  I then went to the command line interface and typed  "regsrv32 /u bcr2000control.dll"     to unregister the file and that fixed the problem of Sonar not loading.  Then I ran the install.cmd program again, and Sonar started.  I thought I had it working then, but when I added the bcr2000control to my control surfaces, I again got the message stating that it was unable to invoke the console.  I wonder if anyone has got this to work in 64 bit and if so, what am I doing wrong ?

Thanks
Ron
