I am using Real Tracks in Band in a Box to create a wav file.
 
When I drag the wav from BiaB to Sonar, it imports as mono.
 
What I don't know is:
 
1) is the wav actually mono or stereo that I want to use?
2) is there a setting that will default in Sonar a wav file as Stereo if it is stereo or Mono if it is mono?
3) Do all drag and drop wav file import as mono and then I must split into stereo?
 
Any input on any of these questions is appreciated.

Solution was provided by BiaB forum.
 
The RealTracks have both mono and stereo.  You can determine this within BiaB.

SONAR will import either type "as is." However, also note that under the Clips menu, you can convert mono to stereo and vice-versa. This isn't conversion in the sense that your mono signal will now spread across the stereo image, but that the mono signal will now be present in the left and right channels.
