  • Final Word on EZ Drummer 2?

So, we had issues with outputs on tracks with EZ Drummer 2.  I understand from the Toontrack website, that there is a solution/patch for using multiple outputs in Sonar.

I also had several other issues including 1-unable to freeze and unfreeze tracks and 2-inability to change outputs on frozen tracks.

Does anyone know if the patch has cleared up all the issues?  I am a bit afraid to re-install EZD 2 since it corrupted a number of my projects; but I have paid for it and would really like to use it on some new projects if and when it is safe.

I will take an Acronis image first + ensure there is a Windows back-up point set, but I would like to avoid any hassles.

Thoughts or information?

From the Toontrack website:

New in Version 2.0.2
- new articulations preview which also details MIDI note numbers available in the drum properties panel
- Humanize alternatives are available from the 'Menu' in the top riht corner of the interface
- a user selectable, ‘number of outputs’ dialog popup in Sonar which enables compatibility with legacy EZdrummer 1 projects

Thanks.

Hi, Konrad.

It has certainly solved the outputs/rerouting problem.  If you open up a preEZ2 project, you can select to show number of outs on startup, close the project, re-open, choose 8 outs, and everything is fine.  It's a godsend.

I have not had any of the other issues that you have experienced, so cannot comment on them.

Hope that helps.

Good luck.

Thanks much. I will take a system image and then give it a go. :-)

I am updating my PC with a second large spinning drive and a 1 TB SSD for orchestral samples, so I am in the modd to get everything humming.
