Being nice is one thing but too be bombarded with these threads is long on the tooth and at some point the tension needs to be released. Common sense should at some point be pointed out. Lifetime is not one sided it goes both ways...no matter how long you have been using the product.

Hi Charles. Not to beat a horse to death or labor an argument... My criticism is not about/around the question itself (or how many times it has been asked), but is directed to the comments made about the OP stating his long history and attacking him and others like him for doing so and then again bashing him/her for asking a legitimate question concerning the OP's loyal and continued investment in a company and/or its products.  The OP's statement and/or question is NOT cause for the bashing or "ganging up" on the OP.  I am asking for civility.  I hope that there is a place for patience and tolerance.  Certainly we have all been in a place in which we would appreciate that for ourselves, so that can't be too much to ask from everyone here.

Kind regards,

I can definitely agree with that. At some point these topics get real close to trolling given that the info is there and the new owner is actively comunicating with us(kudo's are well deserved).

Can't blame some for feeling ripped off but to come to the forum and posting without a little research and assuming responsibility where it don't belong is completely another thing.

Jumping on them in a snarky manner is uncalled for but is a consequence in a forum patiently(or impatiently) waiting for the next move in the direction of developement and keeping the focus on that...not what is owed, these responses will be posted.

I commend your intentions but only time will tell in what we all hope will be new and better direction for Sonar and this forum.

Just remember that with Pro Tools, you have to sign up for lifetime payments to keep the software working.

I have spent close to 1600.00 dollars on Cakewalk products over the years knowing full well that I own nothing but the permission to use the product, I appreciate the fact really.

When I look at these thread's it befuddles me why a licensee doesn't read or understand the EULA, you know, that thing you check off when you load the software that you have to agree too BEFORE you install, that was with Cakewalk NOT Bandlab, as a reasonable assumption given the fact it's a different entity.

Meng has already stated they will work with us, more than fair in my opinion so let's wait and see. These threads demanding otherwise are completelty unfair whether that creates the impression of being hostile to point that out is in the minds of those looking to shoot down the forum anyway... Once agian in my opinion.

This makes me think the same way about Facebook, all this fuss about stolen data that anyone who signed up for Facebook or it's app's agreed too in their "Terms of Agreement".

I wish you could get multiple "helpfuls." So many people are getting a rude awakening about how tbey have pretty much signed their lives away.

Lifetime updates means lifetime of Cakewalk not the  users.

I should have known the mere mention of Facebook would spark a political response.

(Facepalm...too the extreme!!)

Which also violates the terms of the forum. Hopefully mods will take action.

YOU CAUGHT ME! Ya get it?

Funny thing is I did not read any of the other posts I only replied to the OP's. This being said I would have had no clue about your stupid Facebook comment until you made the above statement.

So I am very sorry for offending you and another troll who feels the same way.

Here is something you may not know. There is a thing called edit in the post...so I edited out my comment as to not offend. Gee you can do the same can't you?

Peace!

Geez, get a grip, the only one offended is you and your udder lack of a sense of humor.

How can you end your reply with Peace? It definitely did not imply that.

I'll have nice day... Hope you do too.
