Using X3 Producer. Trying to insert a delay on a specific vocal clip (single word). For some reason when I insert a clip effect, I'm not getting any effect on the clip. The effect appears in the clip fx bin, its turned on, but I'm not getting the effect on the clip? I've read the manual ad nauseum, but........nothing.
 
What am I missing???

Is the clip to short to hear the effect? If the clip stops immediately after the word, the effect stops too. IOW, clip effects do not play past the end of the clip.

I don't think so. I've tried all sorts of fx just to see if anything works, such as heavy distortion which should work instantaneously and be easy to hear. But.....nothing. Very strange, as all other fx, sends, etc work just fine.

Yes, a distortion should be more obvious. I have never had a problem with the clip FX bin but I rarely need it and have never used it on a very small clip.

Try lengthening the clip.
