Just a dumb quick question.   To insert the MIDI Event Filter, I read where it says,
"choose MIDI Plugins > Cakewalk FX > MIDI Event Filter."

Where do I find "MIDI Plugins"?   I know I'm going to feel really stupid when someone tells me the answer.
Thanks!

If you're using Dimension bass patches, as I recall, some of them are out of tune.

MFX plug-ins are found in the the plug-ins tab in the media browser under MIDI FX, they are also available in the context menus in MIDI FX bins.

I had looked everywhere (or so I thought) and couldn't find it.
Thanks, scook!

I used to have pitch problems after playback, with some Reaktor patches.

FINALLY figured out that for some reason, some of their factory patches had pitch tied to the mod wheel, and Sonar has a default option set ON, if I recall, to where Sonar will set all pedals and wheels and such back to ZERO when playback stops.  So, for ME, stopping playback would cause the pitch to drop.

That actually happened to me on the FIRST song of my FIRST gig with a band, for the first time I used a computerized rig for live performance.  So, I cannot figure out why my pitch has changed, and the singer utters the following "Just keep playing - he'll catch up".

Anyways, look for that option, and try removing the check from that option so that Sonar stops resetting all controller pedals and wheels to zero when playback stops, and see if that helps.  (Preferences>Project>Midi - Zero Controllers When Play Stops).

That must have been fun.   :)

I unchecked the box that says,  "Patch Controller Searchback Before Play Starts," and it seems to have worked.

Thanks, Bob!

I have had a similar problem.  I never really had this issue before, that I recall, until I installed W8 on my PC.  I have a StudioLogic VMK-188 controller that I use as my primary keyboard.  I usually have this issue when I layer, for example, Garritan Authorized Steinway and TTS-1.  I have even had this issue when layering with Lounge Lizard.  The Steinway Plugin does not utilize pitchbend messages.  If I leave the DAW open for several hours and return afterward it is usually out of tune.  Frustrating to say the least.  I usually have to exit then restart Sonar.  I never thought that I might be my keyboard.  I will have to check into this the next time this happens.
