can I upgrade to producer
and is it worth it
 

It depends on what you want out of Sonar. I always go for the producer version for a couple reasons. First its the flagship version. It will have all the bells and whistles. Then I am on this forum a lot and need to know what Producer can do/has to offer. 
 
Your case is your own and I can't know what would be good for you without some background. It is a safe bet though. Is it worth it? Yes, and then some.
