Sound on Sound as a "free" source of tutorials. If you had bothered to look just a tiny bit further, you would have found the equally free SONAR columns that I've been writing for
Sound on Sound since 2001:

Sound on Sound for being the first publication that immediately understood how important SONAR would be, and made sure they had monthly coverage of it before anyone else.
Also, if you haven't seen how much free material is in the Cakewalk blog not just about SONAR but recording techniques in general, and which is updated often,
and which is free, then maybe you wouldn't make posts about there not being anything free, and Cakewalk having the audacity to charge for something
for which they pay third party SONAR enthusiasts who make a living (or at least enough for dinner and movie

) from sharing their knowledge.
