Anyone know where to find it? I've searched both X3 Help and the web X3 Help page for "Slip", "Stretch", "Audio", "Edit" to no avail.

Thanks!

On my phone here... Are you referring to ctrl-dragging the end of a clip to adjust tempo? The section on the smart tool in the manual will give the correct terminology, but I am not sure of the term offhand.

From the Cakewalk home page searching for X3 help stretch http://www.cakewalk.com/Site-Search?q=x3+help+stretch the first result is http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR%20X3&language=3&help=AudioSnap.19.html. Is this what you are looking for?

YUP! Thanks. Thought there was more info than that on it but I guess not.

Funny none of the search words I used would bring up this page tho.

If it's slip-editing your after look on page 425 of the reference manual.

Thanks bluz. I got so used to just using the online help I never got around to D/Ling the manual.

What scook referenced is what I use 99.99% of the time, but FWIW there's also a dedicated time-stretch tool if you don't want to have to hold down the Ctrl key.

Do you mean under right-click Process Effect where you can access the Time/Pitch Stretch tool? Does that one evoke the same process as slip-stretching/bouncing? If not, which one yields better results?

Thanks!
