Saw some posts related to audio and video syncing, but couldn't find my exact scenario.  When I import a WMV video in X3e and play from the start all the audio syncs up to the video view window.  However, if I stop the transport and resume the video timing is slightly off to the point where I can't sync sound effects without restarting from the beginning which is obviously a workflow nightmare.  Has anyone run into this or have a solution?

This has been a problem since 8 I believe and happens in all projects with all videos for me.  I'm running Windows 8 64 with an M-Audio Delta-66 card.

Well Cakewalk support told me to make sure I'm running at 48KHz so I'm hoping that's the problem and it's an easy fix.  I'm so used to working in 44.1 it never crossed my mind.

Video projects I run at 48k 16 bit....

Also, check codecs.

Well, changing the sample rate didn't seem to have any affect.  Also, tried different buffer settings.

Re: codecs, the video is encoded in WMV2 so that should be native to Windows right?

Here's a video demonstration.  Notice how the drawing sound effect lines up to the animation when playing from start, but when starting from middle the video animation comes in early (or sound late).

Okay, think I may have resolved this.  I encoded the video as AVI using MPEG-4 and everything is in sync now.  So WMV does not play nice in X3e on my system for whatever reason.
