  • What features/Plugins In Sonar Do You Find Yourself Using Less Despite Liking

I Know ..long title.  In any case.  Every now and then I find myself not using a feature or plugin that I actually like ..in theory. Sometimes it is procrastination.  Sometimes it is just being used to a certain workflow.  I post this because, in the past, i find either a situation/need or example by another user will motivate me to revisit.  Examples for me in the past included V-Vocal (It seemed to crash too much for me to bother prior to X3) and R-mix (I never bothered until I found myself stumped on a filtering issue). Every now and then Ii will go through the menus and look at the included plugs and think "I am probably missing out by not using this".  The first one that comes to mind for me is TH2 Producer.  I have nothing bad to say about it.  I tried it, thought it sounded good and then..a presets pack was given to us and I found the process very unintuitive and it just kind of made me not think about TH2. It was just too easy for me to grab one of my versions of previous Sonar included guitar apps like Guitar rig le 4, other third party plugs or guitar geared fx chains included in Sonar (Some of which include TH2 but that's kind of buried if you just drop in a preset and start playing).  Since I'm always looking for ways to minimize my third party plugins not included in Sonar, I have decided to start using it more.  Anyone else have similar experiences?   Also, I have always like the idea of Matrix but can never get myself to actually use it more than dinking around.

I really like my Les Paul Custom but I find myself playing a Cort guitar because it sounds as horrible as it plays. Really?

Was that an attempt at sarcasm?

Just trying to figure out what the point of the thread is. It is baffling.

I know the title was odd but i tried to explain it.  If it did not translate well you could have said so instead of making a pointless attempt at being a blessed child of god*

The question was odd but interesting too. I don't think Guitarpima was trying to be annoying.

I couldn't think of anything that would answer your question. I have used different plugins through the years but as to features none that I stopped using. I have used features only to test them out though and didn't used them again. I don't think that would count.

Because it is a very odd question I would expect odd answers.

I acknowledged the question was odd and poorly worded, but I am also quite sure he was being a jerk about it.  if not , i apologize.

I understand the sentiment. For me: I no longer use pro channel. I realised it was just another layer and I already had an adequate/superior group of vsts. I like prochannel but prefer my way of doing things.

So, I bought a copy of X3 basic on Steam and haven't used producer in about 6 months.

I like the sontitus FX.  esp the gate and compressor.  Very useful, clear interface and do exactly what they say on the tin.

But I find I have to force myself to use them once I've been through the easily accessible PC modules first and not got the sound I wanted
