Hi everybody
After using X3 for some months after years on Pro Tools I must admit that I fell in love with it....but....there are still some things missing IMO to be "almost a perfect program" .
One is : a most user friendly interface of controllers in midi Event List and Piano Roll: i.e. if I have to move 2 measures back some wheel controllers events or if i have to insert some controllers it's not as easy as it is in Pro Tools or Cubase and editing in notation is also not really user friendly
Is there someone who's using controllers editing that can show me the best way to move-edit-insert some controllers events in an easy way in X3 ?
That'll be much appreciated
Regards from italy

Not exactly sure what you find complex about controllers, but in piano roll view make sure under Controllers you select "Select Controllers Along with Notes." The when you move the notes, the controllers move with them.

In track view, when you move a clip, any controllers move automatically with it. To insert controllers, I usually use the Line smart tool.

Craig,  I think he means he recorded (say) pitch bend control info from his keyboard when he recorded and now just wants to move the pitch bend control data, not the notes.

Personally I'd just draw in new data with the draw tool.

Hi Anderton
Mainly I don't want to move controllers along with note. I use an external ribbon as pitch wheel and when I play e.g. a bass line i use it a lot , but it happens many times that I have to leave note where it is and move only controllers some ticks back in order to insert a 0 controller just before the note in order to have the correct note tone. It's messy , not really easy to handle, but probably I'm not using it in a correct way . I was looking for an easy tutorial but I can't find it

Select the Controllers you want to move, then use the Move tool (F7) to click on any of the selected controllers, and drag left or right. If you hold the shift key, the vertical height will stay constant as you move. Remember that the controllers will snap unless you turn off snap (type N).

Another option for moving a bunch of controllers at once is to select the controllers, then use Process > Nudge.
