Hi,
Possible dumb question coming.
I am using Sonar X3b with no problems. I'll upgrade to version E when I finish this project I'm working on now.
I'm ready to Master and installed Ozone 5. During installation, I chose 32 and 64 bit. I'm using the 64 bit version on a Win 7 Pro machine, but wanted the 32 bit in there should I ever have a problem and need to use the 32 bit version Sonar.
I open my Plug In Manager, I do see Ozone 5 in two places, so they were scanned.
But nowhere on Izotopes site or in their Manual or Help.pdf, or anywhere else after I Googled, can I find out how to use it in Sonar X3.
I assumed that I'd go to the Master Bus and right click in the FX box and then I'd see the Ozone Plug Ins, but they are not there.
I tried to run Ozone 5 as a stand alone (can that be done?), just so I can at least Authorize it with my s/n, but can't figure out if that's possible either.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

You use it on your master buss. I use a mastering template project and import the stereo mix of a project.

Thanks. But as I said, I don't see it as an option to add it to the FX Window on my mastering bus. I see two references to Ozone 5 it in the Plug In Manager, so I guess they were scanned, and the .dll's seem to be in the right place, C:\Program Files/Cakewalk/Vstplugins. I just can't get it to open in Sonar X3.

I think he's saying that he sees Ozone listed in Utilities > Cakewalk Plug-in Manager, but when he goes to his actual VST list to insert it on a track, he's not seeing it there.

Yes, Vern. And I see the .dll's where they should be in the proper folders too. I just checked the Registry and the .dll is there too, but I'm not trying to figure out if the .dll is simply not "registered." I'm Googling that now to see how I determine that. Thanks, all.

Is the plug-in list you are looking at using the "Default All Plug-ins" layout? The layout for each menu is set at the top of the menu. The browser is set with the drop down on the Plug-ins tab.

Hello,

Did you notice an increase in your number of plugins when Sonar scanned them. Try to do a rescan and reset of your vst's. I am not sure if you are on a 64bit OS and 64bit Sonar if having the 32bit Ozone .dlls will actually help.
With that said as noted before, right mouse clicking the effects bin should bring up your list of plugins, and Ozone should be there under VST and VST 3 if I am not mistaken.  As a test only install the 64bit version and see if it shows up. I would also recommend having the 32bit versions of plugis's separated from the 64bit. IHTH

Thanks Lunatech.

I uninstalled Ozone 5 and reinstalled on the 64 Bit version as I'm running Win 7 Pro 64 bit Sonar X3.

Yes, Sonar started, scanned, found and increased the number of Plug Ins. Ozone is showing in the Plug In Manager. I also checked the Registry and I see the Ozone.dll.

I'm now wondering if I just need to manually "register" the dll, but I don't want to try until I'm sure that's what needs to be done.

Thanks, Beagle. I was unsure of how to answer Scook.

I don't see how I can attach a .jpg here so that I can show you all the screenshots, can I? Anyway, here is what I see
In the Cakewalk Plug-in Manager X64.

On the left, second down, where is says VST Audio Effects (VST), I then can look to the right under the "Registered Plug-ins and it does list IZotope Ozone 5.

Also, on the left, third down, where is says VST3 Audio Effects (VST3), I then can look to the right under "Registered Plug-ins and it also does list IZotope Ozone 5.

Thanks.
