Just installed Xe update. Same issue with both Region FX and the "Call initProc" I bypassed the X3d update, although afaik later updates include previous updates. 
 
So there is certainly something going amiss here.
 
Oh and I should mention it is Melodyne Single Track I am installing. I bought the upgrade version from the Sonar Producer version, way back. 

X3d is not necessary. This may be an issue related to MS C++ redistribution libs. You may want to contact tech support.

It is the same binary. The license controls which features are available.

Region FX disables several features of SONAR when active (due to ARA) so it is possible that the reverse is true... AudioSnap, clip effects being active on the clip may prevent the ability to create the Region FX.

LOL, I was hoping you weren't going to say that. With the time differences etc, it can take a few days to get an issues sorted down here. But I will try anyway.

Sorry, I have seen this once before and the user never came back to wrap up the thread. If this were more common I could point to a solution. May also want to ping Celemony.

I just did a modify of the install and when installing the VST 3 version I get the message plugin caused an error and that is "Call initProc" and then it is recommended to disable it. 
 
 
 

I'm experiencing the same plugin load error after some house keeping a Waves Tech performed on my machine. I posted a screen shot here: http://forum.cakewalk.com/Melodyne-no-longer-in-region-effects-m3105076.aspx Region effects worked properly prior to this.

Thanks for the link. FWIW I have re-installed the VST3 Melodyne a few times now, after deleting it. I also tried a modify routine too. Appreciate the help though guys still got nothing from Support, it is late Friday there I suppose and the Sat and Sun to come so a fix from them is at least three days away
