  • Eventide UltraReverb VST slider positions not saved

In SONAR X3e Eventide UltraReverb VST settings (example, wet/dry mix) revert to preset defaults once the PLAY button is pushed. Before PLAY the sliders are as saved. Hit PLAY and they snap to default position.
There was similar problem with Waves Vitamin in X3a that was fixed when I installed X3e.
Snap back to defaults makes UltraReverb pretty much unusable.
Anyone else seeing this problem? Know of a fix?

I cannot replicate the problem. The wet/dry mix slider stays where I set it. I tested the plug-in in the FX bin of an audio track.

Well. I just tried the following sequence again and can reproduce the problem.

1. Plugin instance in audio track. Load a preset. Default wet/dry = 50%.
2. Wet/dry set to 10%. Close plugin. Reopen to verify wet/dry is still at 10%.
3. Project Saved
4. Project reopened and plugin opened. Verify wet/dry is as saved at 10%.
5. Hit PLAY. Wet/dry slider jumps to 50%

I'm at X3e x64 build 244 on Window 8.1 64bit.
Plugin is Eventide UltraReverb as a VST2.

I still cannot reproduce. I am using 64bit X3 Producer (X3e build 352) on Win7. You may want to submit the issue to support. There may be some subtle difference between the basic version of X3 and Producer.

Does it matter whether you start playback from the beginning or in the middle of the project?
Actually, I don't think this is the situation in your case, but anyway:
IIRC, I've experinced something similar a few times in the past. I  assume I had accidentally (somehow, it remains a mystery to me) inserted an envelope or the plugin in question could somehow link the settings to the Now Time position when the setting was made. Playing back the project from the beginning gave false settings, but the right ones jumped on somewhere later in the project.

Any chance the Zero Controllers setting in MIDI preferences could be affecting this?

I don't see a "Zero Controllers" setting in Edit:Preferences:MIDI

Problem has been submitted to SONAR TS

I don't know this would affect UltraReverb, but just in case you do need it some day....

Is the Ultraverb on the latest version?  https://www.eventide.com/AudioDivision/Support/Plug-ins/Native%20Plug-in%20Support.aspx

Looks like it is on version 2.0.4 now.

I believe there were issues in previous versions.
