Some players can't handle floating-point waves. You might try exporting as 24-bit and see if that resolves the issue. Most low-end audio interfaces default to 48 KHz and have to resample on the fly for anything else. It could be that the interface on the target computer isn't correctly resampling and playing back your 44.1KHz file at 48KHz. That's like playing a 33RPM record at 45RPM, if I can use a dated analogy.

Hi there again, trying to solve it. I tried the exporting as 24-bits, and still sound like a chipmunk.

When I look in cakewalk in audio options, these are my settings:
playback timing master: asio fireface usb analog
record timing master: asio fireface usm adat
sampling rate i= 44100
asio panel: buffersize 256 samples
optical adat
clock mode:sample rate : 41895 hz (if i choose 41000hz, it automatically changes back in 41895)
clock source: optical in (current internal)
pitch: -5.000%

Are these setting allright?
Thanks
Sandra

I meant, if i choose 44100, it automatically changes back in 41895, i reckon this might be the problem...
What do I do next...?

What is this setting for and where is it

pitch: -5.000%

44100 * .95 = 41895

it looks like the source of the problem

I found the problem, it was the sample rate, which is good news. The bad news is that the last 5 songs I recorded, I sound like a chipmunk on my daw, so I have to record it again, but this time at the new and good sample rate!
Thanks for your help guys...Im glad you all helped me out..
Cheers.
Sandra
