  • Why is keyboard Shortcut "D" not working, and Track Manager choices not sticking?

I've recently been opening projects in the older X1 version, and re-saving as X3 projects.
Then here's what I do:
1. Open Project
2. Do work in Track View
3. Select Views/Console View
4. Do work in Console view
5. When I attempt to toggle between views with keyboard command "D", it doesn't work.
Is that a bug or a "feature?"

Also, In Console view, when I use Strips/Track Manager and uncheck all MIDI tracks, as soon as I
insert a plugin on any audio track all the MIDI tracks get re-drawn and showed.

Anyone know about this?

How are using the CV? Is it in the Multidock? D is use to toggle the multidock open or close. It has no effect on a floating CV.

The other thing to check is you aren't closing the CV once you've finished working in it. D will only open the multidock if there is already something in it.

In my project, I'm not using any floating or undocked views at all. Just one instance of Sonar, and the default track view, that's all.
On start up I can see the multidock header bar at the bottom of my track view, but nothing is loaded into it.

When I select "Views/Console View" the CV still does not get loaded into the multidock. Apparently that's the problem - "D" won't work because the CV isn't mentioned in my multidock tab list. I can use CV, and it's not floating or undocked. It just won't load
into the multi dock.

Any thoughts?

What happens when you try to drag it into the multidock (do you get the blue rectangle)?

It sounds to me like you have floated the CV at some point, possibly unknowingly. If you do that it will always open in its own window instead of the multidock.

As Craig suggests you should be able to drag it into the multidock. If you can't it might be stuck in maximised view, to cure that open the CV, then click on the "Windows" restore window icon in the top right corner. You shold now be able to either drag it into the multidock or select "Dock in Multidock" from the Windows menu in the top left corner of the CV.

That should fix it.
