Folks ... I've been a Cakewalk user since DOS... despite problems, learning experiences from solving problems and plain old user error issues... EVERY time I've needed help I got it here or directly from Cakewalk customer support ...almost right away.

In the process of seeking answers to recent KOMPLETE 10 upgrade ...I went to the NI forum to seek answers ...WOW.
That forum is nothing like this one...

WE have a great company here that cares a lot about users and their products... that's been my experience ...

DISCLAIMER: if you just ran out of Nexium and you have negative comments ...start your own thread... I've personally worked with a lot of users here ...and with several customer support staff who worked hard to get me sorted out...

SO... once again ...Thanks to Everyone for years of great music production...

I can honestly say for the past few years I haven't needed to contact support unless it was a licensing/registration thing.
It's amazing to me how quickly I can get an issue solved here (usually user error but).
I would list all my favorite gurus but you know who you are
So thanks for starting this thread...we simply can't praise these people too much!

I'm going to have to move this thread because it OT. NOT!

I don't mind saying you all here on this thread have brought tears to my eyes. We are lucky that we have the very finest people on these forums.

I couldn't be happier that a problem is solved, bug is reported and a user is learning a better way to do something. That is what motivates us.

Thank you.

I agree 100% about this forum being an amazing and helpful place. The people here are a cut above what generally populates the internet. It has been an incredible resource for me in so many ways...I feel like I know many of you personally.

It also reflects the attitude of the people at the top. Cakewalk truly appreciates their users (and they're thinking up some really cool ways to pay it back).

Cakewalk is a relatively small company, and has to be very careful about how it spends what resources it has. I've been in quite a few meetings with the folks at CW, and the overriding question for deciding on one option over another is ALWAYS "well, what's going to be best for the users?" They have this quaint notion that if you keep the customers happy, the business will take care of itself...

I'd also like to put in a good word for Henry Juszkiewicz. He doesn't hit these forums so I don't have to be worried about accusations of brown-nosing   He saw the future potential of Cakewalk very clearly and when I first asked about pursuing an acquisition, he told me in no uncertain terms to "pursue it aggressively." The odds that the CEO of a highly respected global company would be a huge fan of Sonar are extremely remote, but that's the reality of the situation. His understanding of what this company is about, and where it could go, is a major reason why it's now part of Gibson. I see a very bright future ahead.

Yeah this forum is a cut above. It spoils you! Whenever I've had to ask for help on the Native Instruments forum I'm always left disappointed. Partly because it's such a fricken ghost town in comparison....but then again, there are forums with way more members than this one and it's still nowhere near as helpful as the Sonar forum. Try asking for advice on Gearslutz without having to pick your way through a tangled web of egos for example...there's some great people there, but way too many pretentious big heads as well. It's always a breath of fresh air to come back here.

I was helped countless times by an incredible former forum member who has passed away - Billy Arnell.

There are several folks currently in the forums that have carried on with his bend over backwards approach to trying to help folks work things out with Sonar.

RIP Billy, you are still missed - He is STILL providing me with inspiration to assist when possible.
