RIP Billy, you are still missed - He is STILL providing me with inspiration to assist when possible.

I do remember Billy being one of the few pioneering volunteers that went way beyond the norm to serve this forum well and in a very diplomatic kind of way ..back when we were inundated with trolls and other jackasses that made this forum much less than what it is today...we miss ya Billy!
Now it seems we have well over 10 of these very special people.
I don't think I would have the patience to provide that kind of dedication and service (even if I did have the necessary knowledge )

Just wanted to add my voice to the kudos. This resource is part of what makes Sonar great.

I'd like to add my thanks to those of the many others who have a reason to be grateful for the this forums' existence.

What I haven't learned by direct questions I've picked up through others' questions. I've been a part of this community for more than 10 years. It's like no other on the net. I'm even privileged to have helped a few, but in saying that ive really only passed on thing I learned here in the first place.

I didn't know that BaMIDI passed. That news just hit me hard. I'm sorry to hear it.

There are very helpful users in these Cakewalk forums.

Truly was a sad period. He and I were about to embark on a joint venture, purely for fun.

John organised a letter from this forum to send to his family that many of us put our names to. From my recollection the family really appreciated the letter and having the knowledge that Billy was thought of so highly by so many here.

Perhaps you could search for the post where this was all discussed.

Hi Mudgel:

I searched and found a thread started by Scott discussing BA-MIDI. The news of his passing saddened me. Billy and I had our debates, but his passing is sad news for me. He was a helpful forum user. I was off-line for a year and a half. Just got back Online in October 2013, so I didn't know of this sad news.

I wish all the rest of you older ( as in been around the forums a long time) forum members the best of health and take care, guys.

I have been a Cakewalk user since Win98 and a I bought a copy of Cakewalk because a friend told me it was the best and most user friendly music program on the market. I spent 12 years not realising this site existed,  going it alone trying to nut out problems by myself. I got here eventually, and thank goodness for that. Doh!

Agreed, fantastic forum and community.  One thing that's nice is that everyone (for the most part) stays positive. . . you don't see threads devolving into personal attacks like you do in other forums.
