Most efficient way to do your own vocal takes?

I use Team Viewer on a laptop to control everything in my control room when I'm in the tracking room. It's free and works well.

My DAW is set up in my main "control room" with all of my gear, monitor, keyboard.
My mic is set up in the next bedroom over in my recording booth (closet filled with clothing on shelves, with the original sE Reflexion Filter).
In that vocal booth, at head level (when standing), on one of the shelves is a 2nd monitor for my system, wired to the DAW, mirroring what's on the main monitor.
On the shelf below that are both a 2nd keyboard and mouse, wired back to the DAW.
Simple. And, if I get cold, I can put on a sweater!
