Care to post a snippet of one of those files where we can download it?

Or a screenshot showing how you're importing. Are you able to import other files without any problem?

Hi Gene,

What happens if you do a Save As using the Adobe app?
Save the file as a 24Bit Wav file.

My guess is the problem is big/little endian related.
The Save As function will likely resolve the problem.

There's no help index entry for "Import Properties", and Help Search brings up a list of 20 topics, none of which are appropriate. (The first topic is "Adding Chord Symbols" followed by "Adjusting the Note Velocity" ... )

There is, however, a help topic titled "Importing Audio Files"

You can find it through the Help file Index, by looking for: Importing, audio files

There's also relevant info under: Importing different sampling rates

Original Poster Update:

Before trying the above suggestions, I tried to import audio from a different session (at the same studio).

Of the three songs we recorded that day, I was able to import tracks from one. Tracks from the other two songs behaved the same thing I described above - the progress bar below would say the program was converting, but at 100%, no clips would ultimately show up. I tried to import the problem clips into their own Sonar session AND into the session which allowed the one song. Same result - no sound clips materialized.

And once again, ALL the clips in question open without a hitch in Adobe Soundbooth CS4 and Windows Media Player.

So before I begin messing with Global Options and what not - why would one batch of tracks work just fine and the others not? That seems like relevant imformation ...?

Thanks everyone - I know you all have other things to do during the holidays. :)

Because of your importing properties. Are all those tracks the same? Same bit rate, same sample rate, same format?? It could also be that your pc is timing out at the end of the import. Who knows?/ Can you post your pc specs and sound card specs also. And also list your importing properties.

They're all 24-bit Mono 48000 wav.

Can you post your pc specs and sound card specs also.

Intel Core(TM)2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.40GHz
3GB RAM
Vista Home Premium 32-bit SP1
PreSonus Firepod (driver updated)

And also list your importing properties.
