Using Sonar Artist.  When comparing versions, rapture session is listed for Artist.......but I can't find it.  Did it get scrapped?  

While Rapture Session is bundled with SONAR Home Studio/Artist/Professional/Platinum it is a separate series of installers not found under SONAR Home Studio/Artist/Professional/Platinum in the Command Center or your account. It should be at the top level of both the Command Center and your account product list.

I can't find it anywhere.  I downloaded all the extra things (studio instruments, sound center etc.)  Don't have it.  I searched for it on cakewalk and checked out the option to buy it, but can't.  So I'm thinking it may no longer be available for new downloads.

I see Rapture Session in the cakewalk.com "My Account / My Products" - but I did buy Home Studio so it might have been with that - but since SONAR Artist lists Rapture Sessions, you should own that as well. You could try an email to support, or a ticket with support to see if there is a glitch with your account.

Still showing in both CC and my account, so looks like it's a problem with your account rather than a universal one. If it's any consolation, you're not really missing much.

That does matter. FWIW, the demos are for products not sold anymore. IIRC, demos do not include any of the sfz engine synths including Rapture Session.

Cakewalk is no longer a company. You cannot buy Sonar anymore. Read the stickies at the top.
