Cengage is willing to take your money for this book.  I'm not sure they'd do that for a 'placeholder'.

As you may know, this book is not published by us nor do we have any affiliation with the company. They probably publish these 6 months in advance and likely have SONAR X5 Power, SONAR X6 Power, etc, in the pipeline. Don't read too much into this is what I am saying.

Yep, sorry everyone, but Andrew is right. As you all know, I do a new book for every version of SONAR. The publisher likes to get a jump on these things, which is why you see that in their system. They just probably made a mistake (or there was a computer glitch), which made it visible to the public. I'm sure they'll get it hidden again, shortly. This doesn't foretell a new book coming any time soon. Sorry.

However, my SONAR X3 Power book is definitely available, and it's right here in the Cakewalk Store... http://www.store.cakewalk.com/default.asp?sku=30-CTSX3.00-20C

And more info at: http://www.garrigus.com/

Thanks!

Everything is on hold until Gibson's acquisition of Apple is complete. When that happens, Sonar will become cross-platform and renamed Songic Pro X4. There will also be an iPad version, and a new product called Cakewatch which is a combination fitness trainer, metronome, and hovercraft.

This may not be so ridiculous - on Cakewalk's "we're hiring" page the software engineer position requires:
  • Significant knowledge of Mac OSX/iOS and Windows
Is there a Mac version on Sonar in the works?

We don't know. They have repeated stated there are no plans to write a Mac version of SONAR. I would imagine Cakewalk would be looking to continue creating more Mac products like the ones they have made in the past. The current Mac products need updates too.

Oh, I didn't know CW created stuff for Mac, just saw some instruments are Mac or PC.

SONAR is Windows-only, but Cakewalk is a cross-platform company.

Craig I think I saw this news on Back to Future 2 along with the fact that the Cubs will win the World Series. Ha ha I like "Cakewatch" though. Maybe Cakewatch will help me finish uncompleted songs.
