Hello @Sonarians,
Is there anyone who has a Script to toggle back and forth to Notes View Editing / Clip view.

This is the way I'm used to do it in Acid Pro 6: I assigned a shortcut "G" to it :

And if you know a way to show/hide the Volume Stems of each notes, that would be marvelous...
Here I'm showing / hiding Volume stems of notes hitting the "F" shortcut :

(PS : I've doubled posted it from a previous thread, for visibility reasons)

Thank you again !

Shift+right click in the track itself (not the track header) to switch between the two last edit filter states. If they were clips and notes, you'll toggle between clips and notes.

Thank you Anderton,

This looks easy indeed. I wish I could've keymapped this SHIFT+R.Clic but I guess I'll have to get used to it ;).
By the way Anderton, do you know how I can change the volume of each notes in the In-Line midi editor ?
Just like the 2nd video I've posted showing Acid Pro's way to modify volume thanks to volume stems.

Thanks again !

Okay Anderton,

I tried to work with the SHIFT+Right Click for a couple hours and my workflow was still very slow unfortunately.
Do you know someone I can ask to script it for me in this forum ?

You can create macros with AutoHotKey. It's a free program.

Thanks Anderton,
I've used AutoHotKey before so I'll give it a try.

Do you know where I can tell AutoHotkey to trigger this Notes Show/Hide event of Sonar?

Are you aware that you can toggle between track view and a full MIDI piano roll view by using the Multidock, docking the piano roll view in there, and pressing the keyboard shortcut D? So, one keyboard shortcut wouldn't just switch between clips and notes, but switch between a view that's optimized for clips and one that's optimized for MIDI editing (and which has individual strips for velocity, controllers, etc.). In the strip, you can adjust velocities for individual notes, drag to edit velocities for multiple notes, use a line tool to draw linear velocity changes, change the resolution, change the velocity of only selected notes (very handy with chords, where lots of notes hit at the same time), and more.

Acid always was a cool program, I've logged many hours with it   It was one of my two main programs before Sonar appeared. However I think if you try too hard to replicate your Acid workflow within Sonar, you may miss much of what Sonar has to offer.

Sorry, I'm the wrong guy to ask about inline editing, I almost always use the piano roll in Multidock.

@Anderton > "you may miss much of what Sonar has to offer."
Oh don't take me wrong I'm blown away by Sonar X3's workflow (and UI design).
Sonar X3 is definitely the only alternative I see myself working with so far, here's the whole story behind all my posts:

Since Acid Pro was discountinued in 2009, I've been looking for a refugee DAW.
1. I bought Reaper but its UI is simply too difficult for me to work with (but I bet it's great for Pro Toolers)
2. I bought Cubase but it didn't have the Smart Grid (but you can control the volume of the notes right inside the In-Place midi editing track! I wish Sonar could do that)
2. I tried Studio One but no In-Place midi editing and no Smart Grid
4. I bought Logic Pro X and its UI is fantastic, but no In-Place Midi Editing and no Smart Grid

@Scook
I created a new Thread for it not to mess around with subjects.
