Sonar X3 Studio has to be the worst POS I have worked with (or tried to work with) since I started using music software 10+ years ago.  I can't copy and paste phrases on staff view, it moves them all over the place, the faders mix up the tracks half of the time and there are numerous other problems too lengthy to go into here.  I think Pro Tools may be the answer.

Copying and pasting in Sonar is indeed somewhat complex, so I've created a little tutorial.

1. Select the region you want to copy.
2. Type "Ctrl+C" (this is a shortcut many pros use so they don't have to use the mouse to go to a menu, although you can select "Copy" from the Edit Menu if you prefer).

3. Place the cursor when you want the copy to start.
4. Type "Ctrl+V." This is another "keyboard shortcut" that is popular for speeding up workflow.

I hope this is helpful.

That does look difficult. Thanks Craig, for taking some of the mystery out of it.

Let's not just all flag him as Spam.

Can you be more specific about your problems, nitejamr?

1)I can copy and paste phrases on staff view, and
2) I am not sure what you men by "the faders mix up the tracks half of the time" and
3) "There are numerous other problems too lengthy to go into here" doesn't giveme much to go on.

It may be possible that " Pro Tools may be the answer", but I think it is unlikely.

Sometimes we need to vent, but if you want someone to help, please be more specific about your issues.

Unless I am missing something - let's not just "flag as spam" (one more flag and it's off to the Corner pub - or worse..) a venting post.

Unless you are GP..

For (1), now he has a tutorial.
For (2), he probably typed an "O" and entered offset mode.
For (3), there's documentation.

True, the post does indeed lack the two essential claims that count strongly for troll post certification. The person must claim:
  • Professional involvement in the software industry
  • To be so busy or important they do not have time to read the documentaton.
He/she/it/they did neither, so this could very easily be legit.

I didn't flag him. I use the mobile forum and don't even know how to flag someone. Just in case anyone wondered.

Indeed, please don't flag him. If he doesn't return and is a troll, I have a comedic post ready that I'm sure you'll all enjoy
