  • Automation Lanes Not Reading Automation Correctly After Controller is Stopped!!

I am using Sonar X3 Producer and on a few of my tracks I am using automation. I have drawn the automation for each track from the beginning to the end of the project so that there are no dashed lines... Since they are all solid lines, Sonar should Read the data correctly. I assured that every track is Read Automation enabled.

My big problem is that sometimes when I am listening to the song, and then I stop the controller, the automation does not read what I have drawn... To fix the problem, I have to go into the Soft Synth I used, and then the knob gets reset to what the value should be... FYI.. I am using Z3TA 2.1+ as my Soft Synth. The only thing I am automating the 1st Cutoff Filter knob.

Is anyone else having this problem? This is so annoying!!

Although, your problem might be solved by enabling "Zero controllers when play stops" (under Preferences / Project / MIDI)

Choose Edit > Preferences > Project > MIDI, and look under "Other Options." There you'll find check boxes for "Zero Controllers When Play Stops" and "Patch/Controller Searchback Before Play Starts."

If the problem persists after the suggestions, please file a bug report and attach the project causing the problem with a recipe to reproduce the problem. Post the bug number here.

Does this happen with any other synths or controls?

I ask because it seems very similar to a reported problem with Z3ta where it appears to ignore controller search back.

Please provide more info or a precise list of steps to reproduce. Thanks.
