How do I avoid those "clicks" when I blend two clips together....seems no matter how carefully I "cut" one clip, there is always an audible click before the next clip sounds..

Thanks Scook - however what is not clear there is exactly how to (quote) "You can use the SNAP TOOL to find the ZERO CROSSINGS when slip editing the clip"
When looking at the Snap Tool, there is no mention of Zero Crossing Points?

It is a setting in Preferences > Customization > Snap To Grid

A little bit of a crossfade never hurts either, especially if you don't snap to a zero-crossing.

+1 on crossfades even when snapping to zero crossings.

hmm, that is already set to on...I am using 128 resolution could that be why clicks are still there?

From the second post in the thread I linked above http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/2866897

A lot of us do both snap to zero crossings and then fade in for 3 milliseconds or some other short period.

right...too fiddly. I guess I will just have to stick to doing full takes on tracks. IE whole song recording and forget doing "part" clips. Thanks anyway.

FWIW, I always have Snap to Zero Crossings turned off. It's too easy when sliding things around to be off by a few milliseconds.

Just be clear, snapping to grid and snapping to zero crossings are two separate things.

FWIW and I fully expect people to disagree, I never snap to zero crossings. I move clips around a lot, so if I forget it's enabled, a lot of times rhythms end up being off by a few milliseconds and it's hard to track them down when they're off by only a little bit. So I pretty much stick to crossfades.
