Hi. How do you send MIDI to/from SONAR and the Tyros?
Which Driver and Latency setting do you use?
Any plugins in the project?
The more info, the easier it is to help.
All the best.

So you do not have a dedicated Audio Interface?
That might be the cause of your issues.
If using MME, WDM/KS or WASAPI drivers you might get this latency.

No audio card in my computer that is dedicated I only use the AG – 06 Yamaha I have a very simple set up never had latency problems this is a matter of syncing it all up while trying to sync record my T5 Midi track and sonar audio track at the same time

Does the Tyrus act as a sound card/Audio Interface, with its own drivers?
I hope others will chime in that can help you, as I do not know what else it could be.
Have never used a Tyrus in my own setup, only as a synth.
Best of luck.

The tyros has its own USB cable. It’s audio goes back and forth along with it midi data Through that cable

SONAR still needs a driver to process the audio, hence the question which driver you used
It needs either ASIO, WASAPI, WDM/KS or MME drivers (as far as I know).
Found in Preferences (P), Audio, Playback and Recording.

I would try WASAPI or WDM/KS drivers instead, as MME is the worst of them when it comes to latency.
Perhaps even try to install ASIO4ALL?
Some have had great success with that, compared to the other Win drivers.
