PRV blobs have always been a contention of mine. They don't actually move to the front but once the underlapped note is selected, you can hover over the overlapped note and the end of the underlapped note will allow itself to be grabbed. It would just be so much nicer if the whole blob would move to the front so you're not hassling with it. Perhaps a feature request?

It would be better if blobs could be defaulted to never overlap at all, with an option to allow it if you want.
It makes no musical sense most of the time to allow a repeated note on message without a corresponding note off.  (Having written that I'm sure there'll be hundreds of replies stating why you would want it!)

If you try to do that on a real keyboard it is impossible, you have to release the key (note off) in order to press it again...  if you need the notes to continue ringing you use the sustain pedal, for which there is a midi CC number.
The only example I can think of would be to try to fake the sound of multiple cymbals by triggering the sound several times without cutting off the first ones.

But this is going OT.

Whoever updated the thread title - thank you.

I was talking about the clips in the track window. I was used to being able to click on a clip and edit both ends. I was having issues with the overlapping clip not dropping behind so I couldn't edit. That was fixed by the X3E update. Also, Mekashi is right, MIDI notes should not be able to overlap by default, with overlapping behavior only turned on by a switch, or something.
