2.       Bass + Acoustic Guitar

If anyone has, or come across any other videos which 'show and tell' mixing tips in the similar vein can you please post the links below.

Cake TV is a great resource as are Craig's tips above, but any from the pros which 'show and tell' using Sonar are a bit like gold-dust at the moment.

Sharing and caring,

yours sincerely

For EQ usage I often share this video for FabFilter Pro-Q done by Dan Worrall
     - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kSNYBbPAvKE

It is short (10 minutes), very descriptive and covers several important topics for the effective use of EQ during the mixing stage of a project. It is primarily focused on the frequency spectrum portion of the stereo image, and is demonstrated using an actual mixing scenario. Granted, it is a "sales pitch" for FabFilter Pro-Q (which I do not own), but the concepts are quite universal and extremely well presented.

Dave Pensado's ITL site is full of them. Not Sonar specific, he uses PT but what he shows you can just as easily be done in any other DAW. The difficult bit is remembering it all !
